Compressed Air/Compressors

BEKO TECHNOLOGIES is now on YouTube

beko feb 111BEKO TECHNOLOGIES announces the launch of its own official YouTube Channel. This channel showcases videos about our company and about the products from our compressed air treatment and compressed air measurement portfolio. We are excited that we now feature a leading social media platform in our company communication. Viewers are invited to give us their feedback in the comments.

Compact data logger for compressed-air systems

beko feb 15 1BEKO TECHNOLOGIES introduced the METPOINT BDL data logger, Now it´s little brother“, the METPOINT BDL compact, is released.

The METPOINT® BDL compact data logger allows for the connection of 2 - 4 transducers or sensors in a user-defined manner. With pressure transducers, for example, or with pressure dew point transmitters, volume-flow sensors, temperature sensors, clip-on ammeters, etc. Four limit values on the whole can be freely defined and assigned to two different alarm relays.

New 5 year extended warranty on refrigeration dryers from BEKO TECHNOLOGIES

beko jan 15 2BEKO TECHNOLOGIES are pleased to announce that from 1st January 2015 we are offering an extended 5 year warranty as standard with the DRYPOINT RA refrigeration dryers. In addition to this we will not be increasing our prices on the dryers this year.

We believe that our DRYPOINT RA refrigeration dryers are reliable, perform well to different specifications and are easy to maintain via good information from the control system, and also give customers the lowest cost of ownership. They are also environmentally friendly with the R407C refrigerant which has significantly lower GWP ( Global Warming Potential) and are low in energy consumption.

Data logger specifically for compressed-air plants

beko jan 15 1With a data logger which was specifically developed for the employment in compressed-air plants BEKO Technologies extends its METPOINT® measurement equipment family. The new device boasts a multitude of application-specific capabilities, stretching from the number of connectable transducers to software specifically for the analysis of compressed-air processing.

The METPOINT® BDL data logger allows for the connection of up to eight or even 12 transducers or sensors, depending on the model. With this capacity the new device distances itself from standard data loggers which, in most cases, do not allow for such an option.

New sensors for the METPOINT® measurement technology:2

beko jan 15 3Measurement technology makes the purity of compressed air visible and points out the optimisation potentials in the system. The measurement instrumentation from BEKO TECH-NOLOGIES provides  a reliable data base for the assessment and assurance of the compressed-air quality and for the identification of hidden cost drivers.

The METPOINT sensor technology continuously records all the relevant parameters at the critical control points of compressed air – reliably and precisely. The proper means in order to implement energy management, for example in accordance with ISO 50001, or to meet the demanding HACCP or GMP requirements.

METPOINT® OCV makes the quality of compressed air visible

beko jan 15 2METPOINT OCV offers precision measurement technology for all industrial sectors, where compressed air plays an important part in the production process and realtime monitoring of compressed air quality is process critical.

Even "oil-free" components are no guarantor for "oil-free" compressed air, ambient air/ intake air have a big impact on achieving oil free air.  In most cases, a certain residual oil content cannot be entirely avoided in standard applications.

Therefore, more precise monitoring of the oil vapour content, which is possible at any time is important.  Especially in critical production processes of the chemical and pharmaceutical industry, in food production and surface engineering, the analysis, validation and control of compressed-air quality is a crucial factor.

Safe monitoring of compressed air medical gases

beko jan 15 1With a system that was specifically developed for the monitoring of the compressed-air quality in the medical field, BEKO TECHNOLOGIES extends its METPOINT® measuring range. The new device for the quality assurance of medical gases boasts unique features, such as permanent auto calibration and special technology for the increased operational reliability and long-term stability of the measuring cells.

METPOINT® MMA from BEKO TECHNOLOGIES allows for the uninterrupted 24-hour monitoring of the sensitive medical gases, and the medical compressed air which is crucial to patients' safety.

BEKOKAT: compressed air treatment using catalyst technology

beko-sept-14A cost effective solution to achieve oil-free compressed air

A constant supply of oil-free compressed air with a barely detectable max. residual oil content of 0.001 milligram per cubic metre – this is what the new catalyst system from compressed air specialist BEKO TECHNOLOGIES Ltd is able to deliver.

With this high level of efficiency, the BEKOKAT devices can even sail past the stringent oil content stipulations of ISO 8573-1, class 1. At the same time, the new functional principle breaks down technical and economic barriers that are usually imposed on conventional compressed air treatment, especially when it involves applications with extremely high requirements.

ISO (International Organisation for Standardisation) Air Quality Standards

There are three main standards currently in use which directly relate to the purity of the compressed air quality and testing requirements for industry.

These are:
ISO8573 Series / ISO12500 Series / ISO7183

The most commonly used standard is the ISO8573 Series and in particular ISO8573-1:2010.

The compressed air quality standard ISO8573 –

Consists of nine separate parts;

Part 1 Compressed air – Contaminants and purity classes

Parts 2 – 9 specifying the methods of testing for a range of contaminants.

ISO8573-1:2010    SPECIFIES THE AMOUNT OF CONTAMINATION ALLOWABLE IN EACH CUBIC METRE OF COMPRESSED AIR

ISO8573-2:2007     SPECIFIES THE TEST METHOD FOR OIL AEROSOL CONTENT
