Compressed Air/Compressors

Understanding Compressed Air Safety and Savings

200x150 UCASSwpCompressed air is commonly referred to as the “fourth utility” because it is very common as a resource within manufacturing, mining and processing environments. Employees or contractors in every industrial company or setting are exposed to compressed air’s effects regularly and it should be handled with responsibility and care.

Why calibration of your instruments is so important.

beko may 17The main reasons for this are to ensure the reliability of the instrument, that it can be trusted. To determine the accuracy of the instrument and to ensure the readings are consistent with other measurements.

Considering the costs arising from legal action for damages that might be filed against you, the expenses for proper calibration and adjustment are minor in comparison. Companies who take their responsibility seriously and wish to establish long-term business relationships therefore need to calibrate their equipment regularly. It could also void your warranty if your instrument is not calibrated.

BEKO TECHNOLOGIES extends METPOINT measuring technology range New METPOINT® FLM SF13 and SF53 volume flow sensors from BEKO TECHNOLOGIES

beko may 17 1The METPOINT FLM flow meter measures the compressed air volume flow, which is the basis for accurate consumption analyses for cost reduction and effective energy management. METPOINT FLM sensors reliably detect leakage, overloads and malfunctions. Based on the analysis of the sensor data, the components of the compressed air system can be adjusted for optimum efficiency.

Universal displays METPOINT UD01 and UD02 from BEKO TECHNOLOGIES

metpount 03 17Many production and treatment processes can only be run efficiently if real-time data is available on site. Without this information, it is impossible to closely monitor the quality of applications and processes and take swift action, if the need arises.

For the second year running BEKO TECHNOLOGIES sponsor the Motion Control Industry awards.

beko march 17 1Scheduled to take place on Tuesday 9th May 2017, at the National Conference Centre near Birmingham, the Gala Awards Dinner will bring together the entire motion control industry in a celebration of business and professional excellence.  Recognising and rewarding the achievements of both individuals and companies operating within this important industry sector, personal endeavour, technical innovation, engineering advancement and commercial acumen will all be acknowledged and celebrated.

New online calculation tool from BEKO TECHNOLOGIES

beko jan 17 1BEKO TECHNOLOGIES are pleased to announce the launch of our new online calculation tool for OWAMAT oil and water separators and BEKOSPLIT emulsion splitting plants. This is a tool to help you find the optimal unit based on entering the required information, for example compressor capacity, type of compressor, oil used.

FOOD GRADE COMPRESSED AIR

beko sep1The importance of high quality clean compressed in the manufacture of food’

BEKO TECHNOLOGIES can now measure compressed air to ISO 8573-1 class 1 of the ISO standards. This is extremely important for industries such as food & beverage, pharmaceutical, medical, automotive and many more.
When dealing with food, hygiene is the main requirement to guarantee the quality of finished products. During production, the pneumatic processes and the transport of substances require compressed air of absolute purity. For packaging, clean compressed air is indispensable for cleaning, for example when using compressed air to clean plastic bottles or containers. Our process technology provides for the tailor-made treatment of compressed air via the discharge of condensate, filtration and drying.

The quality of compressed air is as before defined by ISO 8573-1 (2010) where levels of particles, water content and total remaining oil content i.e. liquid, aerosol and vapour are specified. For the user there are 2 categories of compressed air usage; direct contact and indirect contact. Direct contact is where there is direct impingement onto the product, ingredients or packaging. Indirect is the situation where pneumatic equipment is present and the exhausted compressed air from cylinders, actuators etc are present in the production or packaging areas

New generation of DRYPOINT AC compressed air adsorption dryers from BEKO TECHNOLOGIES

may 16 43In May 2016, BEKO TECHNOLOGIES will launch the latest generation of the DRYPOINT AC compressed air adsorption dryers. These models come in 10 different sizes for volumetric flow rates from 100 to 1000 m³/h and operating pressures from 4 to 16 bar (gauge). The cold-regenerated adsorption dryers extract moisture from the compressed air to a pressure dew point of -40° C.

The cold-regenerated DRYPOINT AC adsorption dryers ensure a continuous supply of high-quality air. They are equipped with an efficient compressor synchronisation controller as standard, saving energy. If the compressor is not running, the dryer is also shut down, preventing unnecessary air purging.
