BEKO TECHNOLOGIES theme for the Airtech Exhibition 2014 will be “solutions capability”. The company specialises in compressed air, gas and condensate conditioning and there will be a working demonstration of some of the key products for monitoring and saving energy within a compressed air system. There will be a challenge to visitors to the stand to use the solutions technology and to test their knowledge of compressed air purity. BEKO TECHNOLOGIES are pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Weatherill to the position of Northern Regional Sales Manager from the 1st January 2014. Peter has been working outside of the compressed air industry for the last few years but spent more than 10 years in a variety of roles within the industry. He completed a Rolls Royce engineering apprenticeship at Barnoldswick and joined Atlas Copco as a sales engineer and spent 10 years there including a role as Automotive Sales Manager and also selling the large compressor products, winning contracts in excess of £1million value in just one automotive company alone. He joined CompAir to further his career and only left the industry to join a family business where he became Sales and Marketing Director. Structural issues within the business made Peter decide to change career direction and resume capital equipment selling.
Virtually all manufacturing industry uses compressed air. There are some industries however where the quality of the compressed air is critical. The chemical and process industry being one such sector. There are too many processes to mention but to name a few, agitation and aeration blending of liquids, process instrumentation, pneumatic conveying and operation of devices where a spark may be dangerous. These are all examples of the reasons to use high quality, clean dry, oil free air.

John has been working in the compressed air industry for more than 20 years. Many distributors and customers will know John as the man who trained them on the domnick hunter product line and in the cases where a local solution could not be found he was the man who was despatched from HQ to solve the problem no matter where in the world. John has also lived and worked in Brazil. John is a committed Sunderland AFC fan and in his spare time takes part in battle re-enactments and is interested in vintage planes. 
If a compressed air user wants to make a New Year resolution for 2014 then BEKO TECHNOLOGIES strongly advise to focus on one simple area. That could be to stop letting air go from 7barg to atmosphere without doing any useful work or work that could be done more efficiently or less costly.
