VisIR 640’s high resolution detector and 1.3 M pixel colour camera makes surveys more efficient and cost-effective. With integral LED illuminator/flash, laser pointer and voice recording, VisIR 640 packs a knockout punch in the industrial Predictive Maintenance arena.

Thermal Imaging and Predictive Maintenance
Predictive Maintenance, or Condition Monitoring, keeps a check on the health of assets through regular inspection. Effective Predictive Maintenance enables repair to be performed when it is most cost-effective, before assets lose optimum performance and when downtime is minimised.

Thermoteknik Win Queen's Award for Enterprise: Innovation Cambridge company Thermoteknix Systems Ltd has received the Queen's Award for Enterprise in the Innovation Category. Thermoteknix Managing Director Dr Richard Salisbury was presented with the Award by Cambridgeshire Lord Lieutenant, Hugh Duberly Esq CBE at a celebratory dinner at Queen's College on Friday 6th June. The Award was made in recognition of Thermoteknix Systems' pioneering work in thermal imaging technology and specifically for its achievement in developing the unique range of MIRICLE miniaturised high performance thermal imaging cameras.

The award is the latest in a series of accolades the company has received recently. In October 2007 Thermoteknix was named Innovative Company of the Year at the iDEA (Innovation and Design Excellence) Awards followed soon after by runner-up in the IET (Institution of Electrical Engineers and Technologists) Innovation in Engineering Awards. In March 2008, Thermoteknix was named Cambridge Innovative Company of the Year.

MIRICLE 110K shutterless infrared thermal imaging camera with XTi technology

Thermoteknix has raised the bar to new heights in launching the world’s first Alpha Silicon based Focal Plane Array thermal imaging camera with shutterless XTi technology. The MIRICLE® 110KS with XTi is an ultra-compact uncooled (unstabilized) solid-state high resolution infrared camera delivering ‘Never Blind™’ thermal imaging. The camera is designed without a shutter or any moving parts to interrupt vision at critical moments and is unaffected by shock or vibration.

Continuous high resolution thermal imaging from the very instant the camera is switched on with no image deterioration with time or ambient temperature change. The removal of the shutter and associated motor, gears and control mean that MIRICLE® cameras with XTi™ technology are also smaller, lighter and lower power consuming, a major benefit to all portable and size critical applications.
