The Fabricated Type J or K Grounded Thermocouple has a stainless steel tube and available in various lengths and has the junction grounded at the tip for a fast response. The main differences between traditional pressure jet burners and premix burners relate to the ways in which the air and gas is mixed and in the technology of the combustion head.

It is required by law under the Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1999 and is necessary to comply with the requirements of SAFed document BG01, HSE INDG 436 and HSE INDG 417 Rev1, under which steam or hot water plant should be operated.
