Bouyant QinetiQ looks abroad for acquisitions

QintetiqQinetiQ, the defence contractor spun out of the Ministry of Defence, is considering acquisitions in the United States after record sales this year.

The company, which recently opened an office in Australia, is also looking to expand into the Middle East, Scandinavia and South-East Asia.

Graham Love, chief executive of QinetiQ, said that the company was keen to trade with a number of countries in the Middle East.

BEKO To Invest $4 Million in Atlanta

AtlantaBeko Technologies have announced that they will locate a new production facility, Georgia, in the south of the USA. The company plans to invest 4 million dollars and create 35 jobs through its American subsidiary, Beko Technologies Corp, at their new Fulton County facility.

CNES builds and installs new grinding machine for Wyman-Gordon

grinding machine Corus Northern Engineering Services (CNES) has successfully built and installed a large grinding machine for Wyman-Gordon Ltd, a manufacturer of seamless pipes for the offshore oil, gas and power generation industry, based in Livingston, Scotland.

The new grinding machine, which measures 19m in length by 2.5m wide and 4.5m high, weighs approximately 70 tonnes and has a 16m travel for the grinding heads. The machine will supplement the company

BEKO Establishes New Manufacturing plant In India

ImageOn February 8th 2008, the new manufacturing plant of the Beko group which also acts as the headquarters of the Indian branch office was inaugurated in Hyderbad. With its completion after nearly one and half years of planning and construction time, India becomes the third country with a Beko manufacturing plant, after Germany and the USA.

In the presence of the new Beko management, Monique Abeels-Koch, Manfred Lehner and Werner Koslowski, celebrations were held with approximately 100 guests from the world of business and politics, with customers, suppliers, employees and the media. Following an Indian custom for such events, the new Beko management planted trees. A memorial plaque was unveiled in honour of Bethold Koch, the founder of the company who passed away last Autumn. The local Indian television station as well as the business press gave a detailed report on the festivities.
