Bearing & Transmission and Groupe GLM businesses have changed their operating names to Applied Industrial Technologies. This change does not impact the fluid power divisions of hyPOWER Systems, Pro Hydraulique or PV Hydraulique.
Applied Industrial Technologies, headquartered in Saskatoon, is the Canadian-operated subsidiary of Applied Industrial Technologies Inc., one of North America's leading independent distributors of bearings, power transmission components, fluid power components and systems, rubber products, linear components, and general maintenance and specialty items. The name change will serve to effectively leverage the resources and benefits of being part of the Applied Industrial Technologies organization.
"As Applied Industrial Technologies, our name more clearly reflects the broad range of products and services we sell," said Ron Sowinski, president and CEO of Applied Industrial Technologies. "Operating under one name also demonstrates a unified approach to servicing our customers in Canada and our strong commitment to better serve our growing customer base across North America."
Bearing & Transmission operates more than 20 service centers throughout Western Canada, Group GLM operates four locations throughout Northern Quebec and serves customers across a broad range of industries, including pulp and paper, forest products, power generation, mining, oil and gas, OEM, agriculture and primary metals.
With approximately 460 facilities and 4,500 employee associates across North America, Applied Industrial Technologies is an industrial distributor that offers more than four million parts critical to the operation of MRO and OEM customers in virtually every industry. In addition, Applied provides engineering, design and systems integration for industrial and fluid power applications, as well as customized mechanical, fabricated rubber and fluid power shop services. Applied also offers maintenance training, plus solutions to meet inventory and storeroom management needs that help provide enhanced value to its customers.
