Gary Luckett of Oceanscan is currently training to take part in the London 2012 ‘Olympic’ triathlon being held in London Docklands on 23 September 2012. The race will be the same distance that was undertaken during the Olympic games, although Gary is adamant his time will be significantly slower!

The FLIR Infrared Training Centre (ITC) has added to its published programme of certification and application-specific training courses for best practice in thermal imaging. The tests were completed and the pre-acceptance document was signed during a nine-day visit. This followed hot-on-the-heels of a visit by a group from a different manufacturer in the same city, which is a major centre for aerospace manufacturing in China.

Silverwing has announced the successful purchase of the group by the management team from founder Simon Packer. After 29 years of ownership, Simon Packer has sold his shareholding and retires from the Group Chairman role.
