GNB Industrial Power, a division of Exide Technologies, has been named a certified supplier by the Toyota Group for BT products for its continuous efforts in serving major customers.
The Toyota Group is known as a company with the highest standards for quality that in turn places high demands on its suppliers. The TMHE supplier certification program seeks to improve quality and on-time delivery, to share technology, to establish a long-term and stable relationship with a few suppliers, and to reduce costs. Being awarded certified supplier status illustrates GNB's performance and high quality products. This award will also be the basis for a further successful cooperation between GNB and TMHE. “We are proud that we could expand and intensify our cooperation with the world market leader of materials handling vehicles, despite the current difficult economic situation,” said Lars Algarden, Key Account Manager, Exide Technologies AB. “We are looking forward to continuing to work in partnership with TMHE and helping them achieve their goals in delivery, quality, environment and cost management. These aims correspond perfectly with our aims”, he said. The certification is valid for the 2010 fiscal year.
This recognition is linked to the earlier signed two-year contract with Toyota Material Handling Europe AB for the supply of batteries for materials handling vehicles. For GNB, cooperation with the largest producer of materials handling vehicles worldwide is an important step for the continued expansion of activities in this segment.
