MAINTAIN 2012 gaining momentum – Collaboration with MCM in Verona increases opportunities on European market

Following the success of MAINTAIN 2010, Messe München has some big plans between now and the next exhibition in 2012. They revolve around the ongoing development of the trade fair, which entails adapting the exhibition sectors to current market requirements, defining relevant special themes and increasing the range of the fair to reach an even larger audience among visitors and exhibitors alike.

The plans for MAINTAIN 2012 that were discussed with industry representatives in Munich in October are now beginning to take shape.

One of the first projects was an agreement to collaborate with MCM, the International Fair and Conference for Industrial Maintenance in Verona. The organisers of both events, who have been in touch with one another for quite some time, would now like to make joint use of the expertise and range of both events. Within the scope of a strategic cooperation agreement, an effort will be made to promote an exchange between the German and Italian maintenance markets more strongly in the future. As a result, exhibitors from both trade fairs have new potential to offer when it comes to penetrating into the respective other market and/or supporting existing subsidiaries at the local level. Visitors at both events profit from an expanded range of exhibits and an international transfer of know-how.

In 2011, just less than one year before the next MAINTAIN in 2012, exhibitors will have a chance to participate in a presentation and business platform in Southern Europe, i.e. at a joint exhibition stand organized by Messe München at MCM in Verona from October 25 – 26, 2011. Registration and organisation will be carried out by MAINTAIN's Exhibition Management team as of February 2011. Advance registrations are now being accepted at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

"We are looking forward to collaborating closely with EIOM, an Italian organiser of fairs and exhibitions, a move that will benefit exhibitors and visitors alike. Together we will bundle proven concepts and actively introduce them to new markets," explains Norbert Bargmann, Deputy CEO of Messe München GmbH.

Antonio Rampini, from the Administrative Secretariat at EIOM: "Both fairs have been considered established events in the European maintenance sector for years. We are pursuing common objectives and will collaborate closely in the future wherever the market and general economic conditions present us with development opportunities."
