The Testo 880 range from Alpine Components can be used  in a wide range of applications such as building surveys, identifying leakages in underfloor heating, mechanical and electrical inspections. Uniquely the Testo 880 measures surface humidity with real-time humidity measurement, for identification and display of mould risk areas.

Precise images can be obtained of buildings or of small objects from as close as 10cms. The 880-3 has an integrated digital camera with power LED's to illuminate dark areas. The digital image is displayed inside the thermal image for easy identification.

The 880 has a trigger key for fast freezing and recording of images, a five-way joystick for fast menu navigation and a 3.5 inch crystal clear screen. Two measurement points can be displayed on the screen for exact calculation of temperature differences.

Up to 1,000 images can be stored or offloaded to a computer via a USB connection. These can then be printed off as a formatted inspection document, including full reporting features, using the powerful software supplied with all models.

The Testo 880 is also available in four kits.  The top-of-the-range 880-3 Professional Set includes a number of accessories such as a telephoto lens.
Since the launch of the 880 in Europe at the start of 2008 over 600 units have been sold.
