AMOT solved a problem for engine manufacturer MTU Friedrichshafen by answering the German company The new version maintains the tight shut-off which MTU valued and prevents the dangers of engine runaway and self-destruction caused by a diesel’s potential to burn hydrocarbon vapours or other combustible matter, even after its fuel source has been closed.  

Also valued by MTU was the valve’s solid state sensing and control that increased reliability and robustness, while facilitating custom interfacing with controlling equipment to their specific needs.
