IR/Thermal Monitoring

New high-end IR Thermometer targeted at high temperature environments

ir cam oct 13Fluke, the global leader in portable electronic test and measurement technology, has introduced a new, high-end Infrared (IR) Thermometer with upgraded performance particularly for use in high-temperature environments, such as glass, cement and petrochemical works, in metal refining and smelting, and electrical power production. The new Fluke 572-2 has a 60:1 distance to spot ratio for accurate measurements well away from inaccessible or potentially dangerous locations.
The rugged, easy-to-use Fluke 572-2 IR Thermometer can stand up to tough industrial, electrical and mechanical environments, offering temperature measurement from -30degC to +900degC with dual laser siting for fast, accurate targeting. It also offers contact temperature measurement with a thermocouple bead probe. The three soft-key buttons allow quick navigation, via the graphical display, of advanced features to adjust emissivity (using a built-in material table), to start data logging for up to 99 points of data, or to turn alarms on and off. USB connectivity enables captured data to be downloaded to FlukeView® Forms Documenting software, provided with the 572-2, for graphing, analysis and reporting.

MIN, MAX, AVG and DIF functions help to quickly identify problems, while audible and visual HI and LOW temperature alarms provide instant alerts to measurements outside the user’s set limits. The backlit display is adjustable to a higher level to ensure easy reading in variable lighting conditions. Supplied with a K-type thermocouple bead probe for contact measurement from -40degC to +260degC, it is also compatible with other standard K-type mini-connector thermocouple probes. The Fluke 572-2 can be mounted on a tripod and comes complete with a durable hard plastic carrying case.
