Management for multiple sites and multiple departments

Software Fit for A King

Medieval big castles require constant upkeep and attention to detail. Unlike Hogwart’s Castle in Harry Potter novels, plumbing systems are not magically repaired with the swish of a wand and complicated computerized central air and heating systems are amenities required by even the most steadfast historian or luddite.

Hence, when John Summers took the helm as head of support services at Leeds Castle, an English medieval castle in Kent dating back to the 12th century, he knew that effective facilities management would be a daunting, but necessary undertaking. While it withstood catapults and battering rams in the time of Edward the First, today’s threats are of a more mundane nature. Corrosion, erosion and contamination aren’t lethal but just as capable of shutting it down. The castle is currently used as a conference and tourist centre.

eMaint  understands that selecting a CMMS is just the first step in the process of effectively managing maintenance information. Developing a plan and timeline, configuring the CMMS to meet workflow procedures, and training users are the additional steps that will ultimately lead to a successful implementation of the system.

Simplisys and eMaints personalized approach to service, and dedication to providing exceptional support to its customers, results in high end user satisfaction. This is evident in eMaint’s annual subscription renewal rate for X3, which has averaged 92% over the past 7 years.

ALPS Reduces Paperwork Mountain with Mainsaver

Alps Electric (Ireland) Limited has reported significant efficiency improvements in its engineering maintenance processes since the installation of Mainsaver CMMS from Spidex Software. Alps, which supplies automotive electronics to some of the biggest motor manufacturers in the world from its plant in Millstreet, Co. Cork, runs Mainsaver version 10.2 alongside the complementary web-based modules Spidex WMM and Spidex BI.

“Before we introduced Mainsaver, our day-to-day maintenance activities were generating large quantities of paperwork and the objective was to remove as much of that as possible,” says Maintenance Supervisor Michal Ostrykiewicz. “Our two biggest sources of paper were preventative maintenance job sheets and purchase requisitions, so that’s where we started.”
