CARL Source 4: A brand new CARL Source!

CARL Source 4 is more than an updated version, a new product, a major revision compared with the previous generation.
Visually, the application was completely redesigned. CARL Source 4 is a completely new user interface, a brand new design, integrating the latest web technologies. We have also taken into account the experience feedback from thousands of users since the release of the first version in 2008, to provide a system even more intuitive and easy to use.

Beyond the new design and ergonomics, CARL Source 4 also includes hundreds of new enhancements: customizable chart indicators on the home page, equipment tree structure even more complete and intuitive, bulk data update, integration of an exclusive 'Memo' function.

More specifically, CARL Source 4 includes numerous Field-­‐Oriented improvements: Extended property assets and floor plans management incorporating new concepts specific to Facility management, claims management and import of fuel consumption for the transport version and new functions oriented towards customer service.
Performance has not been overlooked: CARL Source 4 is faster in terms of display and process time. CARL Source 4 includes two unique innovations:

1) Control agencies reports: CARL Source 4 is now able to import reports from leading regulatory control agencies. These reports are downloaded directly from the organizations platforms and are automatically integrated into CARL Source. From the reports, CARL Source triggers the maintenance actions necessary to lift the reservations made during the inspection. Your equipment or your buildings reservations traceability and tracking are well guaranteed, secured and optimized.

2) Google Maps and AutoCAD plan integrated: In the same window as the tree structure of your equipment, CARL Source directly displays your AutoCAD plan drawing in dwg format (machines nomenclatures, floor plan etc.). Plans are not just displayed but also interact with CARL Source: by clicking on a part of a plan, you trigger the maintenance actions directly on the equipment pointed at (creating a Work Request, a Work Report etc.). CARL Source 4 includes also all external applications which can manage plans via a web service: internal or external Geographic Information System (GIS) such as Google Maps etc, or other management planning tools.
