For the last 19-years, Jon has helped launch and/or edit some of the UK’s leading business-to-business technical magazines. These include: Eureka, Design News, Electronics Manufacturing Products, Production Engineering Solutions, Electronics Designer, Electronics Buyer and Screen Process & Digital Imaging. Jon continues to edit printed and online publications. While writing for Eureka, Jon won the DTI/British Business Press Innovation Writer of the Year award. Jon is also qualified design engineer. His career has included the design, development, manufacture and commissioning of industrial automation systems for some of the world’s largest manufacturing companies, including global giants in the food and pharmaceutical sectors. Jon has continued to develop his engineering experience, recently gaining City and Guilds welding qualifications. Current personal and commercial projects include the design and manufacture of fighting robots (Robot Wars style) and a cardboard recycling system. Areas of specialist knowledge include: materials science, motors and drives, power transmission, hydraulics and pneumatics, manufacturing systems, electronics manufacturing, electronics design, production engineering and supply chain management. Paul started his career on Fleet Street working for Timothy Benn Publishing back in 1989 and within one year was promoted to Head of Classified Advertising over 3 magazines. Post Magazine (The UK's leading insurance magazine) British Journal of Photography and UK Press Gazette. After a gap year travelling around New Zealand Paul joined Plant and Works Engineering where he worked successfully as the Assistant Advertisement Manager for over 4 years. Paul's next venture was to launch a B2B magazine withing the cleaning Industry. Cleaning Matters was launched against tough competition. This project involved creating a promotional list, working closely with the editorial team regarding content and features as well as the most important part of a magazine, making sure the circulation is solid. We also had to pre-market Cleaning Matters to our potential clients. We worked in partnership with Kimberly Clark and The British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICS) to gain the exposure we needed for a successful launch. Paul is very proud that all his hard work and dedication in gaining the trust of his clients paid off. Cleaning Matters is still being published today and generating revenue for it's publishing house, Progressive Media. In 2000 Paul was heavily involved with the launch of Industrial Maintenance & Engineering. His knowledge of the market and reputation with key industrial clients was invaluable in the successful launch of this publication. Manufacturing Chemist. Paul was the sales manager for over 3 years on this leading pharmaceutical magazine. The magazine addresses the complete pharmaceutical manufacturing value chain – from the latest drug discovery and development technologies, through formulation and processing to packaging, taking in clinical trials, data management, QA and QC, validation and contract services along the way. Michael Dominguez began his publishing career with Nexus Media in 1993 he was soon head hunted and began working as the area sales manager on Plant & Works Engineering (When part of trinity mirror). Michael helped PWE become the leading Industrial Trade Journal during the 90's. Michael then joined SNS Advertising & Marketing PLC, Europes leading b2b agency and began managing Industrial companies marketing campaigns and strategies. Many of his accounts were the clients that he worked with whilst at PWE. Whilst at SNS Michael gained an extensive insight in to which publications, and marketing strategies were effective to the industrial sector. In 1998 Michael launched two new engineering titles, Electronics designer and Electronics Manufacturing Products which are now both market leading publications. In 2001 Michael was asked to join Conference Communication. Michael joined as Group Sales Manager and helped to launch Industrial Maintenance & Engineering as well as develop MAINTEC over a period of 6 years. Paul Reynolds brings a wealth of exhibition, conference and publishing expertise to EMS. For 10 years he headed up the international media manufacturing division of CMPi the UKs premier b2b publishing company. During his time there Paul was responsible for award winning magazine launches such as One to One aimed at the CD/ DVD manufacturing industry, International product directories and a series of Global educational conferences that targeted the needs of facility and manufacturing plant engineers. He has joined us from IPC Media a part of the global Time Warner organisation where for the past 5 years he has managed the exhibition and magazine sales teams for their international Hi-Fi and Music divisions. Oliver is the web manager and is responsible for the online marketing and management of www.engineeringmaintenance.info. A philosophy graduate from Leeds University, Oliver began his web marketing career as a new media seller for SPG Media PLC. After launching B2B websites in the Pharmaceutical industry he worked as an Account Manager for a multi-national agency before helping to launch EMS.
