Brownell Re-Actrans Transformer Breathers are self-reactivating to eliminate the need for periodic desiccant replacement on power and distribution transformers up to 500MVa, with low intermittent power consumption and simple installation combined with no moving parts and minimum maintenance.
Desiccant self-regeneration is accomplished using the transformer
There are two Re-Actrans models, for oil capacities up to 25,000 litres and transformer power ratings up to 30MVa or capacities up to 125,000 litres with ratings of 30 to 500MVa. With 3.5A and 7A maximum power consumption respectively, they both use silica gel desiccant, have humidity saturation indicator windows and IP65 ratings.
