Controlled Processing of Product Flows

In a fully opened position, the flow of a processing product is in direct line with the critical elastomer sleeve, which maintains a direct control over the flow of a liquid, fluid or material. The Control Pinch Valve has a form constructed of a casing, flanged or screw type ends and the unique elastomer sleeve, the controlling factor of this variety of valve. This innovative valve has a designed construction, making it able to operate without damaging cavitations for specified conditions. The opening and closing of the valve whether a screw type or flange, is either by manual means or compressed air pressure fed into the casing.

Innovation in Design and Construction

A Manual operated Pinch Valve is an innovative type of valve, by its design and construction simplicity. However, it has established a reputation for extremely high and effective performances in applications such as slurries, liquids and suspended solids, in comparison to other valve varieties. The valve consists of three basic parts, only one of which has any direct contact with a processing product. It provides a sealing process by using an elastomer sleeve, situated inside the valve casing. The remaining integral part of the valve, are flanging located at either end of the casing.

Autoclave Engineers has designed a group of air-driven, positive-displacement, high-pressure liquid pumps for service with oil, water and chemicals.

The ASL Series is available in a variety of drive ratios and includes single and double air-drive designs that are capable of up to 60,000psi (4135 bar).

Manual options are available in the ACHL Series pump line and AHL Series double-acting, double air-drive pumps are designed for a combination of high flow and high pressure.

Features include: pressure maintained without energy consumption; requires no lubrication; and external spool valve for easy maintenance.

Applications include: pressure-test stands - stationary and mobile; component and vessel testing; burst testing; umbilical testing; lubrication; bolt tensioning; hydraulic-control panels; chemical injection; and hydrostatic testing.
JBJ Techniques are pleased to announce a new section of their website dedicated to Marzocchi gear pumps.

The range is available in single or multiple pump format and can be supplied with integral relief valve. These pumps have high overall efficiencies, normally above 90%. The product range is available in various mounting formats including SAE and DIN. A complete range of reversible units and gear motors compliment the range.

There are many pump varieties within the excellent Marzocchi range suitable for most applications. jbj Techniques Limited technical department will be pleased to assist in specifying the correct pump for your application. Further details and specifications can also be found by visiting the following web address. http://www.jbj.co.uk/Marzocchigearpumps.html

At the core of the Trap-Eeze station is the MK 45 steam trap which features a hastalloy sensing element which ensures NO loss of live steam and incorporates a two bolt fixing of the cover which provides quick in line access to the trap element and ensures a low maintenance requirement.
Hydraulic SystemsThese external gear pumps feature versatility, strength and long useful life.Their simple construction ensures limited purchase costs and servicing. Thanks to these basic concepts, together with ever-improving product design and features, research-based on many years of experience, accuracy in material selection, production process followed in great detail and tests on mass-produced parts, our gear pumps have reached top quality standards.

For this reason, our products can work under heavy operating conditions and transmit high hydraulic power. Furthermore, Marzocchi pumps feature good hydraulic, mechanical and volumetric efficiency, low noise level and, last but not least, compact dimensions.
Generally these gear pumps usually consist of a gear pair supported by two aluminum bushes, a body, a securing flange and a cover.
Shaft of the driving gear projecting beyond the flange mounts a twin-lip seal ring (the inner lip being a seal and the outer being a dust seal). An elastic securing ring secures the ring in place.

A concept for the sustained assessment of sliding surfaces based on Merkel Counter Surface Parameters (MCPs) takes into account the specific requirements involved in hard-soft contacts.

Seal counterfaces have usually been assessed on the basis of parameters for metal-to-metal contacts.

However, as a piston and rod seal in hydraulic systems always involves a hard-soft contact, the result obtained for counter-surface assessment in terms of abrasivity, long-term behaviour and oil deposits provides restricted information.

This is leading to greater friction and more rapid wear of the sealing elements in tribological systems.

With MCPs, surface profiles are registered according to the tried-and-tested contact-stylus process.

SMDS metering valvesBy incorporating special lubricant metering discs on its range of linear recirculating roller bearings and guideway assemblies, Schaeffler has reduced lubricant consumption by more than 25 per cent compared to conventional designs.

A range of linear recirculating roller bearings and guidance systems are now available with special lubricant metering valves, which provide precise doses of lubricant to the linear guides, reducing lubricant consumption by more than 25 per cent compared to standard designs, reducing maintenance and servicing costs and preserving resources for the customer.
DN4Over the last few months the main topic on the lips of business and world leaders has been the current economic climate and how its affecting them. For others its brought about an increased focus on delivering on and above their intentions, as well as setting themselves apart from the crowd, disproving the detractors and creating solutions in opposition to the world
