First of all 1/ There are often more compressors run than are required. This results in more energy, more maintenance, less back- up or standby capacity in case of breakdown.
2/ Often, the wrong compressors or set of compressors are operated. The result this time is wrong supply for demand, which the outcome is more energy & more maintenance
3/ Not optimizing the pressure, results in more energy used, more air leaks and maintenance alongside poorer quality- in terms of pressure predictability and possibly production quality.
